Picking Up Speed

Feeling better with my breathing. Legs feel good, not fatigued. Can I go one day without getting lost in some random neighborhood, though?

Today's run was supposed to be a 10 minute, jogging-pace run. I extended it to 15 minutes when I couldn't find my way back out to Pontiac Ave. Go figure. On the upside, though, NO WALKING TODAY! Very out of breath, sweaty as ever, but feeling ok.

Why am I still keeping this a secret from everyone? I guess I just want to be comfortable and a little more sure of my success before I start talking about it. I have so many questions for other runners in my life, but I'm not ready yet to declare "I'm a runner" to anyone but myself. I do say it in my head, though, because even though it's 4 days of only 3 runs, I feel like it's going somewhere. Soon enough, I guess, I'll reveal it to my husband, at least.

1.75 mi, 16.5 minutes
9'27" (fastest average yet!)
